20 Pound Propane Tank

Typical Uses: Barbecue and small heaters

Measurements & Capacity: It’s approximately 1 foot in diameter by 1.5 feet tall and holds just under 5 gallons of propane at maximum capacity.

Additional Information: These are not filled on site. We offer walk-ins for local customers and exchange services for commercial customers.

33 Pound Propane Tank

Typical Uses: Forklifts and similar vehicles.

Measurements and Capacity: It’s about 1 foot in diameter and 2 feet high and will hold nearly 8 gallons at maximum capacity.

Additional Information: We have different variants of these tanks in this size. The liquid draw style (as opposed to the vapor of propane) is the most common. Commercial customers can choose from our exchange or refill service. For enhanced security, we offer storage cages for these tanks.

100 Pound Propane Tank

Typical Uses: Large barbecues and temporary heat.

Measurements and Capacity: At about 1.5 feet in diameter and 4 feet in height, this tank holds just under 25 gallons at maximum capacity.

Additional Information: Due to their fairly compact size, these tanks allow for fairly unrestricted placement options. However, they do not come with a gauge that tells you how much is left in the tank. Therefore, it is recommended that two tanks be set up together with an automatic change-over regulator and a gauge between the two tanks. As soon as the indicator gauge between the tanks turns red, you’ll know the first tank is empty and that it’s time to order more propane.

420 Pound Propane Tank

Typical Uses: Powering a hot water heater, heating a pool or a smaller home. In a commercial setting, it may be used for dry cleaning and for large-scale cooking, and temporary heating.

Measurements and Capacity: At about 3 feet in diameter and 4 feet tall, this tank holds 100 gallons at 80 percent of maximum capacity.

Additional Information: This tank size is where placement restrictions start to occur. It must be at least 5 feet away from the nearest door or window, and as long as this restriction is observed, you can have up to four of them placed right next to each other.

500 Gallon Propane Tank

Typical Uses: Heating a home or a pool or powering a generator. Commercial uses may include dry cleaning, large-scale cooking, and crop drying.

Measurements and Capacity: At 10 feet in length and about 3.5 feet high, this tank holds 400 gallons when filled to 80 percent of maximum capacity.

Additional Information: This size tank is appropriate for medium to large houses and comes in above-ground or underground versions. It must be placed at least 10 feet away from a building, ignition source, or property line.

1,000 Gallon Propane Tank

Typical Uses: Heating a big pool or a large home, or powering a generator as well as commercial cooking, dry cleaning, and crop drying.  Also great for residential home heating and other multi-use applications.

Measurements and Capacity: At about 16 feet long by 3.5 feet in diameter, this tank holds 800 gallons at 80 percent of maximum capacity.

Additional Information: This size is commonly used as central propane storage for shared commercial buildings or small communities. It must be placed at least 10 feet away from a building, ignition source, or property line. Two can be placed within 3 feet of each other, but then the clearance distance increases to 25 feet.

30,000 Gallon Propane Tank

Typical Uses: Large residential communities, commercial facilities, and bulk plant storage.

Measurements and Capacity: At a length of 70 feet and a height of 10 feet, this huge tank holds 24,000 gallons of propane at 80 percent of maximum capacity.

Additional Information: Placement restrictions for tanks this large will vary in different states and localities.
